Game Review: Halo 3 ODST

The self wonders "Is there life after Master Chief?" indeed there is with this new stand-alone expansion of the #1 best-selling game for the Xbox 360, read on for the big blast...

Released on September 22, it features a 2 disc set, one for the campaign mode and the other for the ultimate Halo 3 Multiplayer experience featuring all the maps from Halo 3 plus all the map packs that have been released until now, on top of that a fresh 3 maps designed only for ODST. This released features Firefight mode, which is like Horde in Gears of War 2, you play online with friends "up to 4 friends" and battle your way through waves of covenants until you reach round 4, you also get to choose what difficulty you want to play this with.

Lets talk about the campaign mode, although it has a relatively short story, you will live up to it...lots of action, lots of blood, lots of violence that you didn't see in the original halo 3. This time you don't get to play with Master Chief, instead you play with a nameless hero trooper called "The Rookie", he kicks ass in terms of personality and appearance, and is well presented.

Should you buy this game or not? its up to you to judge, I am gonna help you decide:

Learning Curve: 15 minutes

Gameplay: 4 / 5
Controls: 5 / 5
Graphics: 4 / 5
Visuals: 5 / 5
Sound: 5 / 5

Pros:

- Relatively cheap for a 2 disc set.
- Firefight mode is tight and addictive if you have a friend who plays it online.
- Campaign mode is intense in the city of Mombasa.
- The soundtrack simply sinks to your heart.
- With the multiplyaer disc, you experience the original Halo 3 multiplayer with all add-ons and map packs (eliminating the need to purchase them).

Cons:

- Unlike Halo 3, you don't get to hold 2 Plasma rifles with both hands, and likewise with one-handed weapons.
- Multiplayer is an exact copy of Halo 3, no ODST community multiplayer.
- Campaign is short.
- If you've got no friends having ODST, then Firefight mode is useless.

Rating: 4.2 / 5 (Breath-Taking)

Game Review: Dirt 2

Rally racing has never been like before with the refurbished Colin McRae's Dirt 2, travel and race through all countries of the world with the car of your choice and feel proud by gaining those level points and unlocking a new set of cars and customizations.

My taste in driving games is pretty simple, I hate street racing and love simulation racing...what about rally racing? I am ok with it meaning it has some good perspectives like drifting on gravel or mud, and the thing that makes you wanna have good reflexes and car handling, Features include: a wide range of rally type races, cars, garnish and customizations...whether you like trucks, SUVs, or buggies, this game will surely be up your arsenal.

So, for me, this game shines from every dimension...but I don't recommend it for the ones who are looking for some street racing game.

Learning Curve: 15-30 minutes
Gameplay: 5 / 5
Controls: 5 / 5
Graphics: 4 / 5
Visuals: 5 / 5
Sound: 4 / 5

Pros:

- Realistic driving, especially when the car gets damaged.
- Astonishing voice acting, and commentary.
- Good Soundtracks they have in loading times.
- Online multiplayer is lag-free.
- A wide selection of rally cars.
- Interiors are well designed.
- A set of difficulties suitable for every skill level.
- The cars looks good from every dimensions.
- Many racing modes.

Cons:

- Crashing into a stone or a building feels unrealisticly lame.
- A limited set of customizations.
- No split-screen multiplayer.

Rating: 4.3 / 5 (Breath-Taking)

Game Review: The Elder Scrolls IV: Oblivion

Announced in 2004, and under production since 2002, this is one type of game you should consider taking a look at.

Release date was on March 30 2006, and I was wondering if it is any good before bringing it, so last month I went and grabbed the "Game of The Year Combo" off from my local store for a considerable price, as you know the combo is Bioshock with Oblivion, went back home and grabbed my controller hoping to see any satisfactions.

It was overwhelmingly complicated at the beginning, you don't know what to do or where to go, and this is one game that is hard to beat and finish the obligatory quests without a walkthrough of some sort, but just be patient because in a matter of 2 weeks, its gonna literally be your life.

What do I mean? I mean that this game has a steep learning curve, and requires much patience to get the hang of it, but after that, you are good to go and enjoy this game for a year, its that good!

So you wanna see what I think of it, sure...but before that I am gonna give you some hints about not to give up playing it from the beginning:

 - Be patient, it has a steep learning curve.
 - The main quest is short, but the main objectives are unlimited.
 - Always go back to the game's manual for instructions, and use walkthroughs for help.

Ok, this does it, now for my review and opinion...here we go:

Learning Curve: 3 hours approx.
Gameplay: 5 / 5
Controls: 5 / 5
Graphics: 5 / 5
Visuals: 4 / 5
Sound: 4 / 5

Pros:

- Gigantic world that you will never end exploring.
- High detailed environment that sucks you into the game.
- All characters (with no exceptions) are well presented with voice acting and facial expressions.
- A huge variety of weapons and armor.
- Unlimited side quests ( not that unlimited but there are many) which make the game difficult to put down.
- Ability to create your own character and race.
- Realistic gameplay and features, such as getting chased by guards when wearing a bandit's uniform.
- Great downloadable Plug-ins from the Xbox Marketplace that include: the expansion pack, a new shrine, castle, and fort that you could own and recruit soldiers in.

Cons:

- Loading times are sometimes stupid.
- Too many visual glitches in the game.
- Bugs exist in the game, especially when downloading some plug-ins.
- No online multiplayer.

Rating: 4.6 / 5 (Breath-Taking)
